Greg In Good Company

GREG IN GOOD COMPANY is rock ‘n’ roll full of heart and soul, led by modern-day troubadour Greg Gilman — a fiercely independent spirit who has made a name for himself in the Southern California music scene through his own critically acclaimed performances, as well as constantly providing performance opportunities for other artists through Writers ‘Round: Los Angeles — L.A.’s only weekly Nashville-style songwriter round showcase that developed into a thriving music community, and was recently profiled by LAist. “The songs are written for you to think, reflect and question. And that, is a very good thing,” OnStage Magazine wrote after listening to GIGC’s debut LP, American Way, a 2018 record Impose Magazine described as “a stirring, heartfelt experience.” ”GIGC’s music is American to the core,” wrote Beats Per Minute while reviewing 2023 single ‘Home,’ which the music blog praised for having “the heart and power of Bruce Springsteen’s best work.” Cinematic melodies paired with heartfelt lyrics and irresistible harmonies have become hallmarks of the band’s unique sound — a mix of alternative rock, folk, country, pop and soul — topped off by Greg’s dynamic and raspy vocals, also drawing comparisons to Marcus Mumford, The Lumineers, and John Mellencamp. No Depression complimented GIGC’s first album for creating “truly powerful and cathartic vibes,” mixing “the the guttural soul musings of Ray LaMontagne with the jubilant psychedelic folk vibes of Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroes.” After 2019 single ‘Monster’s Lair’ spent six months straight in regular rotation on one of L.A.’s most beloved adult alternative rock stations, 88.5 FM The SoCal Sound, GIGC slowly began recording and releasing more singles, which have culminated in the band’s second LP, Quiet Days and Quiet Nights, due out this spring, with another EP to follow before the year’s end. Additionally, Greg has been performing alongside Grammy winners for years as part of acclaimed artist collective Flight of Voices, has embarked on several national solo tours across the country, and took the band to Montana in 2021 to perform in front of thousands at the Red Ants Pants Music Festival. More recently, GIGC was invited to perform at the 2023 NAMM Show, provided the soundtrack to 2023 sci-fi film No Tomorrow, and has been busy playing concerts all over California at venues, vineyards, breweries, and house shows. The band backing Greg currently consists of Marty Vites (lead guitar), Jon Sarna (drums) and Xavier Valdez (bass).
